When Dr. Nathan Clem took over ownership and management of Discovery Wellness Center, it was with the desire and commitment to help Magnolia and the Greater Seattle communities grow to be healthier.

With a shared vision of educating and motivating the public to lead well-balanced lives, the DWC team spends time in the community as often as time allows.  Sharing their passion for healthy living is what brings this enthusiastic Wellness team together, and is why they show up every day with a smile on their faces.

We are proud to donate our time and funds to local charities and organizations such as Northwest Harvest, Sustainable Magnolia, Catherine Blaine School, Magnolia Cooperative Preschool, The Moyer Foundation, Make a Wish, and the YWCA .

Dr. Clem is committed to giving back to those in need both near and far.  He traveled as a mentoring Chiropractor with 24 student interns over the Christmas season to the Siem Reap Province of Cambodia.  The team offered free Chiropractic care with the help of the organization Working for Children (WFC), a nonprofit charity that assists orphans and poor children.  

With little to no healthcare or chiropractic in Cambodia, these services were extremely beneficial to the children and families in these rural communities.  

Thank you to the Discovery Wellness patients who generously donated funds for to the children as well.

Twice a year Discovery Wellness Center opens their doors to appreciate their patients.  They offer free adjustments and chair massages to existing patients as well as free initial consultations and exams to friends and family.

All they ask in return is that participants donate to the current cause.  This year as well as last we donated food to Northwest Harvest in hopes of helping to fill their pantries before the holiday season. 

On October 24, 2009, Sustainable Magnolia and the local Community came together to plant 350 trees in Discovery Park.  Discovery Wellness Center helped to purchase and plant Douglas Fir, Red Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Madrone, and Dogwood trees.

This popular annual fundraiser gives participants the option to walk or ride a 5 or 7-mile loop around beautiful Magnolia, then enjoy a neighborhood barbecue. Proceeds help send Catharine Blaine School’s incoming fifth-graders to Islandwood, a 4-day environmental science camp each summer.

Discovery Wellness Center donated funds for camp attendees, and offered free posture screenings and chair massages to participants.

This yearly two-day event is filled with information booths and a large crafts/art fair, and the event is kicked off with a Grand Parade.  Throughout the estival there are plenty of family-friendly activities, such as the huge children’s play area with inflatables, train and pony rides, and an outdoor movie.  Attendees can listen to live music and entertainment, as well as eat and drink to their heart’s content with local food vendors and a beer garden.

Discovery Wellness Center was in attendance, offering the community free posture screenings, chair massages and general health information.
